Community Update #14: New App Features

Dear Eight backers,

We are excited to share a new update, with details on shipping timeline and new app features.

CONFIRM CURRENT ADDRESS. If you have not done so already, please provide us with your current mailing address using this form. Even if your address has not changed, we still require you to confirm it through this form. To avoid losing packages, we are holding orders to customers who have not confirmed their current address.  


We are in mass manufacturing and we have built over 5,000 units. This is an important step for the team and we couldn’t be here without you. You have been very understanding of the ramp up process, the changes that have to be made at times and the resulting set backs. Thank you for going through this with us!

All U.S. Queen orders with updated addresses have shipped. If you have not received a shipment confirmation email from us, it is likely because we do not have your current mailing address, and are holding your order. Please provide us with your current mailing address using this form.

Based on the current progress, King, Full and Cali King units are estimated to be shipped to U.S. customer by the end of November, and to International customers by early December.


A new version of the app was released today. It includes the following improvements:

Redesign of Last Night view

We worked with a visual design expert to rehaul the Last Night view to display a nightly timeline with all the relevant information that Eight is tracking, and also improve the level of granularity of sleep data that we display. Click here to see a demo video of this new design.


Display of additional sleep and environment data

The new Last Night page includes the display of brand new metrics tracked by Eight:

  • Average bed temperature
  • Average room temperature
  • Respiratory rate



In November we will be releasing our IFTTT channel and HealthKit / Google Fit integration. We are currently testing this internally and finalizing the details.
